The other day I was speaking with a potential client and they asked me this amazing question that made me realize, if one person is thinking this, there’s probably a bunch of other people thinking the same thing. The client asked, in a very polite way, I might add, “So how will you understand the nuances of my business? How will you make the writing sound like me?”
I was so thankful that she asked because many business owners have a lot of concerns about outsourcing their messaging. What if it doesn’t sound like me? What if the information is incorrect? What if my message doesn’t come across?
Since starting my business, I’ve written website content for a variety of industries: health coaches, financial planners, insurance companies, coffee companies, timber experts, hair stylists, transformational coaches, artists, mental health first aid speakers, foot specialists, cabinet makers, ladies fashion boutique, power washing, flagstone installation company and a brewery. It’s a fair question - how can I write about all of these industries that I’m not an expert in?
